Overview
In order to implement the best crisis management, organizations absolutely must prepare resiliency plans—plans specifically created with the intention of seeing you through a crisis and going back into business as usual with a minimum of trouble. Many crisis events can be predicted and planned for, allowing you to create a step-by-step walk-through. From time to time, though, you will be in a situation that you had no way of predicting and which contains so many possible outcomes that you simply could not imagine all of them, much less create a specific plan to cope.
This course is aimed at providing participants with an overview of the key elements of organisational resilience, namely risk management, business continuity management, and crisis management.
The focus of the course will be how to build organisational resilience so that if a crisis should occur, structures, operations, and procedures are all capable of absorbing stress and restoring the organisation to equilibrium. Emphasis is placed on the role of leadership and ensuring flexibility for continuous and disruptive change.
