OVERVIEW
The objective of power system protection is to isolate a faulty section of electrical power system from rest of the live system so that the rest portion can function satisfactorily without any severe damage due to fault current
The course covers the application and testing of electrical protection in-depth and involves a number of practical exercises and demonstrations combined with classroom theory. A wide range of protective devices is used during the course including electromechanical, microprocessor-based and numerical relays.
Who should attend?
Electrical/Plant Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians, Electricians with responsibility for the application, commissioning and/or maintenance of electrical protective equipment used on industrial electrical power systems. This training programme requires a good foundation of electrical knowledge.
