This course is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the key concepts, principles, and practices of park planning and design, as well as a unique opportunity to observe and analyze the design and functionality of a local park.

 

Over the course of five days, our experienced instructors will cover topics such as site analysis and design, park programming and design, design development and implementation, and park maintenance and operations. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, practical exercises, and interactive discussions, you will learn how to analyze site opportunities and constraints, develop park programs, select and design park amenities and features, and plan for park maintenance and operations.

 

On the last day of the course, you will have the opportunity to visit a local park to observe and analyze its design and functionality, and to gain insights into best practices for park maintenance and operations. This hands-on learning experience will provide you with valuable insights and practical knowledge that you can apply to your own park planning and design projects.
