As well as performing their daily duties within the Human Resources team, an HR advisor often acts an intermediary between other business departments and the HR team, and will often act as the first point of contact for line managers and other middle managers throughout the company.

 

Therefore, while an advisor is an intrinsic piece of the HR department jigsaw, they will often find themselves working closely with other teams throughout the business, such as commercial, operations, and procurement, amongst others.

 

Providing an effective human resource service to businesses is the principal goal of all HR teams. The HR department is responsible for making sure the organization is able to meet business needs through the management of the company’s most valuable resource – its employees. Overseeing the biggest item on the budget comes with responsibility for ensuring the best blend of skills and talents with timely interventions and effective support.
